How to Register and Sign Up for Shifts:
- Register: Visit Volunteer Hub and click “Create Account” at the top of the page to begin your registration.
- Sign Up for Shifts: Once registered and logged in, you can view our calendar of available shifts. Simply click the “Sign-Up” button next to a shift that fits your interest and availability.
Managing Your Volunteer Schedule:
- Canceling a Shift: If your plans change, you can easily cancel a shift. Log in to your Volunteer Hub account, navigate to “My Schedule,” and click “Cancel Registration” for the shift you need to remove.
Planning Ahead: Shift Availability
Advance Sign-Up Options:
- Volunteers are welcome to view and sign up for shifts up to three months in advance. This allows you to plan your volunteer activities around your schedule.
- For those interested in volunteering further in the future than three months, please reach out to our Volunteer Department directly. We can discuss potential opportunities and help you plan ahead.
Registration Requirements for Food Finder Volunteers
Individual Registration is Required:
- To ensure proper tracking and communication, every volunteer must register individually in Volunteer Hub. This applies even if you are volunteering as part of a group.
- Individuals: Register by selecting a shift directly from our volunteer registration calendar.
- Groups: If you are volunteering with an organized group, the group leader will provide you with a specific sign-up link to ensure your participation is correctly recorded with your group.
Volunteering as a Minor
Profiles for Minor Volunteers:
- Yes, minors are welcome to volunteer at Food Finders! For safety and organizational purposes, each minor volunteer also needs a Volunteer Hub profile.
- Parent/Guardian Registration: Parents or legal guardians will need to create profiles for their children who are under 18 years of age.
- Waiver Requirement: Volunteer Hub will prompt you to download and print a waiver form. This waiver needs to be signed by a parent or legal guardian as the child is under 18 years old. Please bring the signed waiver with you to your first volunteer shift. We will collect it at the start of your shift and keep it on file for future volunteering.
