Anaheim Food Pantry for Students: Your Guide to NOCE’s Resources

Food insecurity is a significant challenge for many college students. Recognizing this need, North Orange County Educational Consortium (NOCE) offers vital support through the Anaheim Campus Food Pantry. In partnership with Pathways of Hope, this pantry provides readily accessible food and essential resources to students, ensuring they have the nourishment needed to succeed in their studies. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Anaheim Food Pantry, detailing everything students need to know to utilize this valuable service.

Who Can Access the Anaheim Food Pantry?

The Anaheim Campus Food Pantry is available to all currently enrolled NOCE students and Cypress College Culinary Program students taking classes at the Anaheim campus. This ensures that students focused on their education in Anaheim have consistent access to food assistance right where they need it.

To utilize the food pantry, students are required to bring a few essential items to each visit:

  • Student photo ID or student access card with a separate photo ID: This verifies student enrollment and ensures the service reaches those it’s intended for.
  • Current class schedule: This confirms active enrollment in classes.
  • Reusable grocery bags: Students are asked to bring their own bags to promote sustainability and ease of carrying items.

What Support Does the Food Pantry Offer?

The Anaheim Food Pantry is committed to providing a range of helpful items to support students’ basic needs. Upon visiting, students can expect to receive:

  • Non-perishable food items: These shelf-stable goods form the backbone of food assistance, offering reliable meal options.
  • Fresh food items: Whenever available, the pantry also provides fresh produce, promoting healthier eating habits.
  • Personal hygiene items: Depending on availability and student requests, the pantry may also offer essential hygiene products, helping students maintain their well-being.

If you have specific needs or require assistance while waiting, such as needing a chair due to a health condition, the Anaheim Food Pantry staff is ready to help. Simply contact a staff member in advance or upon arrival to make arrangements.
