Key Responsibilities for Driscoll Foods CDL Drivers:
- Safe and Efficient Delivery: Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver products to various locations within the designated delivery areas.
- Loading and Unloading: Physically load and unload freight, which may involve lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to our customers, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries and addressing any inquiries professionally.
- Invoice Management: Thoroughly match invoices to orders to prevent discrepancies and ensure accurate deliveries.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate company equipment safely and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (section 396.13).
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Driscoll Foods safety protocols.
Essential Skills and Experience to Join Driscoll Foods:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Driving Proficiency: Proven ability to safely operate a 26′ automatic straight truck (Class B) or Tractor and Trailer combinations ranging from 28′ to 36′ (Class A), depending on the position.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a safe driving record and history.
- Drug and Alcohol Testing: Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
