Welcome to Food Bazaar Supermarket, a family-owned company dedicated to bringing you the authentic flavors of home. Operating full-service supermarkets across the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut), Food Bazaar prides itself on being more than just a grocery store; it’s a cultural experience. We passionately strive to provide each of our diverse communities with the tastes and ingredients that evoke memories of “back home,” no matter where that may be.
At Food Bazaar supermarket, we understand that food is deeply intertwined with culture and identity. That’s why we go to great lengths to curate an unparalleled selection of international and mainstream groceries. Our stores feature dedicated aisles filled with global flavors, extensive dairy and frozen selections, full-service fish markets, and custom cutting meat departments. Located in vibrant, ethnically rich neighborhoods, each Food Bazaar supermarket reflects the unique cultures and culinary traditions of the community it serves.
More than just catering to diverse tastes, Food Bazaar supermarket is committed to serving communities often overlooked by major supermarket chains. We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable food, and we make it our mission to provide just that in so-called “underserved” areas. Where others see challenges, we see an opportunity to nourish families and connect with unique cultures.
We take pride in understanding the nuances of the communities we serve. For us, it’s not just about stocking shelves; it’s about understanding the specific needs of our customers. Whether it’s papa seca for a Peruvian family craving carapulca, plantains for a Guatemalan family preparing rellenitos de platano, or huitlacoche for a Mexican family making traditional tamales, Food Bazaar supermarket actively seeks out and provides those essential ingredients. We recognize that “home” isn’t just a distant memory; it’s a feeling that can be recreated and savored every night at the dinner table. That’s why we continuously explore new connections worldwide, sourcing the highest-quality ingredients to bring those flavors to your home. When we succeed in this mission, we feel we truly give meaning to the phrase “Welcome Home” at Food Bazaar.
While we celebrate the world’s diverse cuisines, Food Bazaar supermarket also ensures you can find all your everyday staples. We offer a comprehensive range of mainstream supermarket items, alongside our exclusive Bogopa Private Label line. This line features high-quality products like macaroni and cheese, rice, canned vegetables, and ketchup, all at affordable prices. Food Bazaar supermarket truly aims to be your one-stop shopping destination, whether you’re seeking exotic ingredients or familiar favorites.
Our commitment to family extends beyond our customers to our employees. At Food Bazaar supermarket, we believe our employees are our most valuable asset. We understand that our success depends on their well-being and development. That’s why we prioritize competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits for our Food Bazaar family. We are proud to offer 100% company-funded health coverage, paid vacations, sick days, personal days, and skills training classes. Our commitment to employee growth is further demonstrated through our annual leadership conference for department managers and higher management, held at a regional resort. Beyond professional development, we foster a strong sense of community among our team through initiatives like our monthly Employee Newsletter, Wellness Program, Birthday Celebrations, the Bogopa Soccer Tournament, the Employee Holiday Party, and the annual Bogopa Family Picnic.
