Important Information for Volunteers

Before you sign up to volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, please take note of the following important guidelines:

  • Individual Registration: Each volunteer must register separately to ensure accurate tracking of volunteer hours.
  • Community Service: Please be aware that Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida does not accommodate court-ordered community service programs.
  • Age Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 10 years old to volunteer in our facility when accompanied by a chaperone (18+). Volunteers aged 16 and older can volunteer without a chaperone. We also host special “Family Nights” or “Family Days” for families with children aged 5-9.
  • Attire: For safety reasons, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are mandatory for volunteering in our facility. Please also wear modest clothing, avoiding overly revealing attire.
