The Bottleworks District in Indianapolis has officially launched The Garage Food Hall, a vibrant marketplace that opened its doors on January 5th. This landmark opening introduces the city’s first-ever food hall, designed as a community hub where both Indianapolis locals and visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse array of culinary delights and artisanal crafts, all within an energetic and inviting setting.
True to its name, the garage food hall is ingeniously housed within two original garage structures of the historic Coca-Cola bottling plant. Located conveniently near the Bottleworks Hotel, which debuted on December 15th, The Garage echoes the hotel’s architectural reverence. It features meticulously restored Art Deco terra-cotta facades and design elements that celebrate the rich heritage of the Bottleworks District. Spanning 38,000 square feet, this expansive marketplace is set to host over 20 independent local and regional food vendors, each contributing their unique culinary styles and flavors to create a rich tapestry of gastronomic experiences.
Visitors eager to explore the diverse offerings can look forward to a dynamic lineup of food, beverage, and retail vendors already operating behind The Garage’s welcoming entrances since January 5th, including:
- Azucar Morena: Offering authentic Venezuelan cuisine, marking their exciting debut at The Garage.
- Abbiocco Pizzeria: Serving freshly prepared pizzas and pasta dishes crafted to order.
- Clancy’s Hamburgers: Bringing a nostalgic 1960’s diner ambiance with their classic hamburger menu.

Looking ahead into the new year, the garage food hall is set to expand its vendor family with the anticipated arrivals of Blue Point Oysters, Certain Feelings Coffee Co., Chapati Beta offering Pakistani-Indian inspired dishes, and The Harbour, a traditional fish and chip shop.
Adding to its dynamic environment, The Garage Food Hall will incorporate three pop-up restaurant spaces, ensuring a constantly evolving culinary landscape. Furthermore, an open kitchen within the garage food hall will function as a versatile venue for various events, including culinary tastings, cooking demonstrations, and exclusive pop-up dining experiences.
“The launch of The Garage Food Hall at the start of this year unlocks numerous opportunities for an exceptional group of vendors who truly represent the best of Indianapolis – spanning food, retail, and unique experiences,”
This is according to Jeff Whiteman, Chief Operating Officer of Geronimo Hospitality Group. He further emphasized, “Guests can anticipate discovering something new and exciting with each visit to The Garage. We aspire for this pioneering entertainment destination to bring as much joy to our visitors as it has to our dedicated staff and vendors who have passionately curated The Garage.”
The Garage Food Hall is a cornerstone of Phase I of the Bottleworks District, a transformative $300 million mixed-use project revitalizing downtown Indy this winter. Phase I will also introduce other exciting venues such as Living Room Theaters, Pins Mechanical, and more, promising a rich and diverse entertainment and lifestyle hub.
