Fast Food Coffee Ranked: From Worst to Best
I tasted each coffee black first, then with my preferred additions (two creams and two sugars). Surprisingly, the ranking remained consistent whether the coffee was plain or doctored.
6th Place: Burger King
Ordering coffee from Burger King felt strange. It’s not something they’re known for, and after tasting it, I understood why. The coffee was served extremely hot, almost undrinkable. After cooling down, it proved to be flavorless, worse than instant coffee. Cream and sugar couldn’t save this one. I’ll stick to their burgers next time.

5th Place: Wendy’s
I almost disqualified Wendy’s. They added the cream for me, and it was far too much. All I could taste was milk, masking any coffee flavor. I’m unsure what their coffee tastes like. Perhaps the Frosty Cream Cold Brew would have been a better choice.

4th Place: Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A didn’t offer cream or sugar, suggesting confidence in their coffee. It was slightly astringent and acidic, but not terrible, especially after adding my own sweeteners. It would pair well with a Chick-fil-A brownie.

3rd Place: Dunkin’
Is it possible to visit Dunkin’ and not order coffee? I ordered mine black and received a freshly made batch, avoiding any staleness. The coffee was decent, not exceptional. It had a fair flavor but wasn’t exciting. I’d call it average, maybe slightly above. I’d order it again, especially with a seasonal donut. Dunkin’ is a reliable choice for coffee and donuts.

2nd Place: McDonald’s
