Yummy Foods Issues Allergy Alert on Swirly Ices Due to Undeclared Milk

Yummy Foods, located in Edison, NJ, has announced a voluntary recall of its popular Swirly Ices product line. This action is being taken because the products may contain undeclared milk, posing a significant risk to consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities. While these yummy foods are certified Kosher Parve by the CRC Kashrus Agency, this recall is specifically for allergen concerns, not Kashrus.

Consumers who have a milk allergy or severe sensitivity should not consume these products as they could experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions. The recalled Yummy Swirly Ices were distributed to retail supermarkets across a wide region, including New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Chicago, Florida, and California. Shoppers in independent kosher supermarkets in these areas should check their freezers. The products are easily identifiable in their printed boxes featuring the Yummy brand logo.

The recall was initiated after a consumer with a milk allergy reported discomfort after eating the Swirly Ices. The company is currently investigating the source of the milk cross-contamination. Yummy Foods is committed to the safety of its consumers and is taking immediate steps to remove potentially affected yummy foods from store shelves.

The recalled products include all flavors of Yummy Swirly Ices: Swirly Tropical melon, Swirly Berry Blast, Swirly Tropical Tornado, Swirly Churning Cherry, and Swirly Variety Pack. Although specific lot numbers 68/2 and 69/1 with expiration dates 5/28/2026 and 5/30/2026 are mentioned, Yummy Foods is recalling the entire Swirly Ices line regardless of the lot number to ensure consumer safety.

Consumers who have purchased these yummy foods and have a milk allergy are urged to discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For any questions or concerns regarding this recall, consumers can contact Yummy Foods via email at [email protected]. Yummy Foods is prioritizing consumer safety and is working diligently to resolve this issue.
